Late Afternoon Sun Rays On a Cloud

Other than the sun itself, the most distant object seen during daylight hours is most often the clouds.  Since they are far from our physical reach, we at times relish them with awe. We wonder what might be just beyond them. They inspire the human imagination.  Where did you come from and where are you going?  What does earth look like for a clouds vantage point? Storm clouds have their own mood and seem to foreshadow bad things. Clouds are used in music. poetry and literature as a metaphor for all kinds feeling, emotions and circumstances.   A clouds form is constantly changing in size, shape and shade. The visual choreography of the cloud can evoke a wide range of emotions. This makes it a powerful element and adds an emotional element to the landscape scene. The cover image features a wave of clouds warmly tinged by the setting sun evoking the feeling of restfulness at the end of the day.
